(generic position cards)

SCARCE - These generic strip cards were issued in a sheets of 12 or 15, or a horizontal strip of 10. There are 2 different types of sheets, one shows the images without the caption below it (15 in sheet), the other shows a caption ie. "Pitcher" below the images (12 in sheet). At top of both uncut sheet it says "Copyright 1919 Mayfair Novelty Co." The individual cards (w/captions) are roughly 1.5" by 2.5" and have a diamond pattern printed in orange ink on back of most of them. The cards originally found in a strip of 10 cards have some differences as well, different color combonations (ie socks), and one card has "Picher" instead of "Pitcher". There are other similar generic strip cards known, that would also fall under the W552 ACC#.
