VERY RARE - These hand tinted real photo cards are believed to have been issued in El Salvador in 1928. The 1.9" by 2.6" cards are written in Spanish and numbered on front and back. The set is made up of mostly nonbaseball subjects with the 14 known American baseball player cards skip numbered between 96-120. The back roughly translates to "Courtesy of Rich Brown Tobacco, the Champion among Consumers". There is also another brand that issued similar cards except the back brand reads "Tabacos de Angola". |
