RARE - These colorful candy cards were issued by the George C. Miller & Co. of Boston Mass. This set received limited distribution accounting for their scarcity today. The complete set could be turned in to the company for a mitt, ball or ticket to a game. These cards were then cancelled in 2 ways, with hole punches, or by cutting off the bottom 1/4 of the card. These cards are often found cancelled. The cards are found with 2 different backs, Type 1 has "Fox" and "Klien" (misspelled), and Type 2 has "Foxx" and "Klein" (corrected). There are 32 cards in the set. |
