SCARCE - These Dixie Ice Cream lids are usually found picturing movie stars of the era, but there are quite a few picturing baseball players as well. The 1937 set includes 4 baseball players, and are printed in B&W or dark red. The 1938 set includes 4 baseball players, and are printed in blue. The 1952 set includes 24 players. The 1953 set includes 24 players with a couple variations. The 1954 set includes 18 players. The lids are found in 2 sizes, smaller one is 2-5/16", the larger one is 2-11/16". There are many different local brands printed on the backs, some very scarce.
