VERY RARE - 2-7/8" by 2-3/8" in size. Not much in known about these French Sports cards titled INDIANA - SPORT - AVION, and put out by Jean-Donat. The backs of these sepia cards says there is 136 images in the series, and has a short bio about the subject in French, with an ad for the company at bottom. The date of 1937 is estimated by the middle of Blanton's career with the Pittsburgh Pirates. I have only seen 2 examples in my short search, this #33 baseball related card of Darrel "Cy" Blanton of the Pittsburgh Pirates titled "DARREL BLANTON EN ACTION", and a #46 card titled "COURSES EN SIDE-CAR" and pictures a horizontal action shot of a motorcycle side-car race.

Any more info appreciated.

other Misc Foreign Issues

The 1928 Major Drapkin & Co. Sporting Snap cards are from England and are tobacco card size. Complete set is 40 numbered cards, with at least 2 of them baseball related.

The 1936 "Sports & Pastimes in South Africa" set was put out by the United Tobacco Co. of South Africa. The full color cards are 2-1/4" by 3" in size and there are at least 50 cards in the set. The set includes only one baseball related card (#18).
