These cards were handcut from the backs of boxes of Post Cereal in the early 1960's. There is also a Canadian version with print in English and French. Some cards are far scarcer because they were only issued on less popular items or flavors. There are similar looking cards that were issued on Jello boxes.

1961 Post set is complete at 200 numbered cards, with over 350 different known including variations. Some cards were obtained in team sheets from a company mail in offer and are on thinner stock than the box cards.

1962 Post set is complete at 200 numbered cards, with 210 known including varaitions. Variations of the #5 Mantle and #6 Maris were also issued in magazine inserts in Life Magazine, and have an ad on back. There are Canadian versions in 1962.

1963 Post set is complete at 200 numbered cards, with 205 known including variations.
