These crude B&W playing cards picture some of the best baseball players of the late 1960's. They were produced by Globe Imports. The cards are 1-5/8" by 2-1/4" in size and found in 2 styles. The earliest style, "type 1", have a blank back and the uniform emblems are visible on uniform. The second later style, "type 2", have a red and white checker board patterned back and the uniform emblems have been airbrushed on many cards. The type 2 cards have a lower quality photo. There are some players found in one set not found in the other. Sets are complete at 52 cards. |
